Planning: Measure your deck area and use the handy calculator tool on our website to determine the number of 3.6m boards you'll need.

Preparation: Clear the area where you want to install the decking. Ensure it's levelled and dry.

Laying the First Board: Start by laying the first board on the outer edge of the area. Secure this board using Starter Clips. These are used only for the outer boards. You'll need about 24 Starter Clips per 3.6m board.

Fixing Additional Boards: Attach plastic clips to the side of the board that is already secured. You'll need about 6 clips per square metre. Important: leave approx 300-350mm space for the boards.

Securing Boards: Place the next board so that the groove of the second board is connected to the clips of the first. Secure the board with screws through the clips into the substructure. Repeat this step until you've covered the desired area. You'll need about 20 screws per square metre.
